I Can't Draw But I Want To Animate

Hi there, as a kid I was really into drawing and had tons of note books filled up with drawings but as I got older (around 11-12) I stopped drawing completely. As a kid I wanted to do something with drawing as a career, maybe animation but like I said I stopped drawing and now I can't draw well at all. I've tried and tried multiple times and I'm just not even decent anymore. Recently in my free time away from school, work, and life in general I've gotten back into watching animations and interviews or podcast with animators and I've forgotten how much I missed all of it. While I've been out of drawing I've been trying to do some film projects and as I've been getting back into watching animation I thought of how stupid it was that I dropped drawing in the first place because with animation I have the ability to create any world I want to, create and do anything, tell any story, no limits. Basically I regret stopping drawing to attempt to do some film things because I have even less boundaries and even more abilities to deliver a story with something like animation vs filming (at least in my opinion). So I was wondering if anyone had any tips? Any books I should maybe consider buying to help me start drawing decently again? Also any tips with getting started with animation? I use to draw but I know nothing about doing animation. I'm aware of how much time drawing and animation takes and I'm aware I'm not just going to be good at first but I really really realllly want to create some animations like I admire and enjoy to watch and I'm willing to put any free time I have into it.
